"We were installing a water service for a new home that we dug last summer. The water service tied into a rare (for our area) 4-inch concrete water main – very fragile!
.
We dug from curb to curb, crossing a 2-inch gas main. Once inside the property line, we had to cross a direct-bury power main line with four communication lines and a gas service running diagonally across the power line.
.
We were thankful to have our @felco.ind Wheel Compactor. It helped us achieve maximum compaction in the roadway with very little effort."

It was impressive watching Mike Broushius operate the CAT 310 from alongside such a narrow trench and achieve the required compaction, in a difficult situation.

Working near Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone National Park, @baircoconstruction with their John Deere 345G reduced tail-swing excavator equipped with a @felco.ind Bedding Conveyor System.
.
When bedding pipe, placing material with a Felco Bedding Conveyor is safer and more efficient than cycling to a stone box or dumping directly into the trench with a loader. The conveyor allows crews to place material exactly where it`s needed while keeping production moving and keeping the project profile narrow.
.
Once the pipe is bedded, backfilling and compacting the trench with the Felco Roller Bucket.

We spotted this CAT 304 Mini Excavator equipped with a @felco.ind Segmented Mini Ex Roller Compaction Bucket at the @tractorandequipmentco Open House last week in Helena, Montana.

Based in Helena, @3econtractors (a.k.a Third Element Contractors) is an electrical contractor specializing in energy efficiency, solar, and lighting design. The company also performs trenching on projects throughout Butte, Bozeman, Big Sky, and Helena, allowing them to provide clients with more comprehensive project solutions.
