Our Origin
A Contractor’s Solution to a Real Jobsite Problem
Felco Industries was founded in 1983 by John Felton, owner of Felton Construction and recipient of the NUCA Ditch Digger of the Year award in 1978.
While working sewer and water projects in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest, John became known for tackling deep, complex utility installations. On a tight pipe job in Seattle, he and his crew developed a better way to place bedding material in narrow trenches.
That innovation became the FELCO Bedding Conveyor — Felco’s first mainline product and still a cornerstone of underground pipe installation efficiency today.
